With  a unanimous vote, the Los Angeles Unified School District directs school staff members not to let any federal immigration and customs (immigration) agents to enter school campuses or to provide them with student data. All information and access to campus would have to be first cleared by the superintendent and school district lawyers.

While there are not reported incidents of immigration officials conducting immigration raids at schools, there has been growing fear from various immigrant communities that ICE could target schools.
